Joseph Delboeuf, philosophe liégeois du 19e siècle, nous était un peu connu à travers certains commentaires dans l'enseignement de François Duyckaerts; S. Freud lui-même se serait en effet intéressé à certains de ses travaux, notamment sur les rêves, sur le concept de reviviscence de l'événement traumatisant et, bien évidemment, sur ses théorisations de l'hypnose.

C'est avec beaucoup de curiosité et de plaisir que j'ai découvert ce travail de François Duyckaerts. C'est le résultat passionnant d'une recherche fouillée sur la double carrière “philosophique” et “hypnotique” de Delboeuf. Comment en effet comprendre son attrait pour l'hypnotisme, lui philosophe scientifique, rigoureux et rationaliste.
