Psychoanalysis, Self, and Context
Available Volumes

The PEP Archive contains the full-text content of all of the volumes above. Due to contracts with the publishers, there is a three year moving wall (embargo of current articles) for most journals. You can browse the tables of contents up through the current issue, and searches include the complete text of the articles, but only the titles and abstracts (or summaries) will be displayed for articles from 2021 and newer. For details on how to read the full text of 2021 and more current articles see the publishers official website here.

Psychoanalysis, Self and Context is a peer-reviewed quarterly that focuses on the nature of self-experience as it exists within and across multiple contexts. These contexts include the clinical, developmental, historical, cultural, social and political.

Formerly known as the International Journal of Psychoanalytic Self Psychology, Psychoanalysis, Self and Context offers articles reflecting a variety of psychoanalytic perspectives such as self psychology, intersubjectivity, dynamic systems, relational and interpersonal theories, attachment theory and interdisciplinary work. It publishes original articles, plenary presentations, commentaries, as well as reviews of books, films and other art forms.

The journal is committed to advancing the highest level of scholarship and theoretical creativity. It is devoted to illustrating sound clinical practice and a diversity of ideas. It fosters interdisciplinary research and seeks to demonstrate the relevance of contemporary psychoanalysis for a wider audience.
