This verbatim account of the 1910 discussion of the Vienna Psychoanalytic Society is primarily of historic significance. It centers on the problem of suicide among adolescent students, as reported by Professor D. E. Oppenheim. Other contributors include Sadger, Reitler, Friedjung, Adler. Stekel's discussion foreshadows Freud's theory of sadism in Mourning and Melancholia .
