My Thesis Is That Creating is evident in all living things and beings. Creating can be experienced and observed in the physical and psychological aspects of being at the individual, familial, social, group and cosmic levels. All aspects participate in all others at all times. Creating is manifested through the universal forming process as internal structure and external pattern and in the myriad of forms forming makes possible, from the creating of a human being in utero to the creating of a new form of cosmic consciousness, so urgent in our world today. Phases of the forming process may be described as emerging, being manifest and being resorbed. The emerging forms become invested with values as to fact, esthetics, morality and spirituality. The products of the universal forming process, with their energy and value investments, are resorbed back into individuals from whence they arose. What emerges are spontaneity, absolute subjectivity, pure consciousness, an aspect of the all, of cosmos, of Reality. The unique contributions of Oriental Psychological Processes to the creating process delineated in this presentation are defined as to their past sources, present contributions and future potentialities.
Spontaneity is the play of forms: is playing with forms; is non-attachment to forms; is being moved by an economy of abundance. Spontaneity is the charm of the child, the rigor of the scholar, the intuition of the artist, the morality of the saint, the wisdom of the sage, the maturity of the childlike adult.
Two poets before the fifth century each wrote one of these lines:
“The wind ceases and yet the blossoms fall.”
“The birds are singing, and the valley is still more silent.”
