In the year 1964-1965 the Association added four new full members to its roster: Drs. Irving Friedman, Henry Horowitz, Melvyn R. Miller, and Andrew K. Ruotolo. Drs. Gerald T. Niles, Edward Schattner, Bernard H. Shulman, Gerda Willner and Frederic S. Willner changed their status from Associate to Full membership. There were five regular business meetings and the Executive Council met seven times.
The Program Committee (Dr. Frederick A. Weiss, Chairman) presented a most stimulating program of scientific lectures at the New York Academy of Medicine. These were:

“Further Considerations on the Process of Schizophrenia”—Sara Sheiner, M.D.
“Reflections on the Nature of Homosexuality”—Harry Gershman, M.D.
“Religion, Perfectionism and the Fair Deal”—Joseph W. Vollmerhausen, M.D.
“Sociological Aspects of Psychoanalysis”— Professor Gustav Bally.
“Emphasis on the Healthy Aspects of the Patient in Psychoanalysis”—Frederick A. Weiss, M.D., Silvano Arieti, M.D., Alexander Martin, M.D., Jack L. Rubins, M.D.
Special note is made of Dr. Harold Kelmans contribution in making possible Professor Bally's participation in our program.
