Our old friend and colleague, Dr. Max Loeb passed away September, 1970.
Dr. Loeb was born in Germany and received his academic and medical education there. After his arrival in the United States, he completed his psychiatric residency in New York, and some time thereafter began his training at the American Institute for Psychoanalysis. He received his certification from the Institute in 1953, having worked with Drs. Horney and Kilpatrick.
He was one of the earliest members of the Association, held many offices, and was always a willing, cooperative contributor of his time and energy. A gentle, reserved man, and a careful, dedicated physician, he was held in the affectionate regard of his patients and associates.
