This paper proposes that in the context of a therapeutic relationship with male perpetrators of violence against their female partners, interventions need to address this client group not only as wounded or damaged, but also as a wounding or damaging other. The author presents a range of interventions to challenge the violent behaviour as well as meeting the damaged aspects of these clients. Interventions described include relational and cognitive tools within the same therapeutic setting.
