This study sets out to explore the relationship between domestic workers and the children they help to raise alongside the biological mothers. Seven domestic workers were interviewed according to a modified version of Zeanah, Benoit, and Barton's (1993) working model of the child interview. The interviews were transcribed and analysed using the principles and methods of content analysis. After careful analysis, it was concluded that five of the seven women presented with secure attachment relationships. The implications of this finding and the positioning of these psychologically significant relationships in the affected families are discussed.
