Shades of Sex explores the dynamics of being in a therapeutic relationship with Amy, who has been labelled, and labelled herself, as “faulty” due to her sexual behaviour. The therapeutic relationship facilitated an exploration of the meaning underlying Amy's behaviour. I have included some of the psychotherapeutic writings that have helped formulate a deeper understanding of the erotic.
