Cradle-Catholic with a degree in Theology, a Masters in Religious Education, and twenty-seven years of teaching experience. She is married with two sons, is a survivor of childhood sexual abuse by a Catholic priest, and is the mother of a suicide victim. Mona's most recent writing project is a book on grief and loss that is becoming a book on hope. Her published writings include a memoir, From Hurt To Healing (Publish America, 2004), and two articles, “Forgive and Forget?” (America Magazine, 2002) and “From Victim to Victimizer?” (Human Development Magazine, 2005).
