Angela Cotter is a Jungian analyst trained with the Guild of Analytical Psychologists. Prior to this, as a nurse, she worked in service delivery, policy, research and education, latterly specialising in work with older people for over twenty years. She has a long-standing interest in attachment-based psychotherapy and has taught the last part of the lifecycle at The Bowlby Centre for many years. Alongside private practice (clinical and supervision), she is currently Head of Research at the Minster Centre, and is a Visiting Lecturer at Regent's University. Her PhD in nursing was about the “wounded healer” and this remains a key research interest as an important aspect of the relational approach to psychotherapeutic work. One strand of her work, particularly since 2000, has focused on the integration of insights about embodiment and healing from nursing and psychotherapy. To further this, she has trained in Celtic shamanism; Marion Woodman's BodySoul Rhythms; Systemic Ritual; and energy psychotherapy. She holds a UKCP Certificate, awarded in 2009, in recognition of her outstanding contribution to UKCP and services to psychotherapy. Email:
