Antonia Bifulco is Professor of Lifespan Psychology, Head of Department at Middlesex University, and co-director of the Centre for Abuse and Trauma Studies. Her research interests revolve around the long term impacts of childhood neglect and abuse on emotional distress. She has developed, with her team, interview measures for collecting narrative about life experience and support-based attachment style interviews, which are now used internationally in research and practice. Antonia is involved in knowledge exchange projects with health and social care practice, utilising the assessment interviews to inform risk and resilience assessment and case analysis particularly in child and family services. Her recent book (Bifulco & Thomas, : Understanding Adult Attachment Style in Family Relationships, London: Routledge) outlines two decades of research in attachment style and the lifespan.
