This paper considers the issue of transmission of psychoanalysis in relation to training, from the beginning of the learning, maturation and growth process that characterizes the professional path of every psychoanalyst. Transmission is the main channel of didactic communication and a composite range of factors must always be identified, from conceptual knowledge to the most subtle qualities that should substantiate any psychoanalytic competence. Of the three axes of transmission - generational, intercultural, interpersonal - which together contribute to the constitution of the historical, conceptual and relational habitat of the psychoanalytic dimension (in other words the constitution of the tripartite declination of the setting: internal, formal, institutional) the main focus is on interpersonal transmission. The organization of the Training Institute is then described as a composite and articulated system of passages and conjunctions of continuous and reciprocal formative transmissions, which also include the concept of continuing education. Finally, transmission and training in the COVID Era is discussed.
