Contemporary science believes that observation modifies the observed object. Therefore, in his or her work, the analyst modifies the situation of the patient being observed. If this is valid in science, we might say that between psychoanalysis and science there exists a possible convergence. Knowledge is always influenced by the subjectivity of the knowing subject. It is produced by electrical brain functioning that also responds to the pleasure principle. Hence, knowledge is not only the product of rational and logical processes, but of affective factor sas well.
