THE PSYCHOANALYTIC LITERATURE now includes more than 100,000 titles, over 40,000 of which have appeared during the last decade alone. How is the psychoanalytic researcher, student, or scholar to discover which of the indexes now available he should consult?
The range of possibilities and the number of forced choices in preparing an index are so vast that considerable
