A systematic metapsychological assessment profile for children has been presented. This profile, which is an extension of the authors' systematic adult-assessment profile, attempts to provide a framework for orderly descriptions and ratings of variables relevant to personality organization in children. While
the illustration presented dealt with a child being assessed for treatment, it is hoped that the format developed in this paper will find application in the many disciplines interested in child development.
