December 23, 2003. Joseph Lifschutz is absolutely right. It was an unfortunate error on my part not to mention Leo Rangell's important contributions over many years to the very issues addressed in my article. In fact, not long after my article appeared I received an e-mail from Rangell calling the oversight to my attention. I responded with an apology and a desire to rectify the situation. Lifschutz's letter gives me that opportunity. If only we had more Leo Rangells!
