Another year has passed and it is again time to give thanks and bid farewell to an inspired group of editorial readers who have helped maintain JAPA's high standards while pushing us into new territories of inquiry and scholarship. Good-bye and heartfelt thanks to Sidney Blatt, Henry Evans, Lewis Kirshner, Lucy LaFarge, Janice Lieberman, Calvern Narcisi, Sidney Phillips, Alan Skolnikoff, and Leon Wurmser. Welcome as well to new board members Lee Ascherman, Judith Chused, Peter Dunn, Dianne Elise, Gerald Fogel, Peter Goldberg, Linda Mayes, Donald Moss, and Richard Munich. I am certain that they will cherish, as I do, the opportunity to help authors move our field forward, and will be enriched by exchanges with fellow board members and editorial staff in the never ending work of the journal. I trust that being an integral part of JAPA will be a career highlight for them, as it has been for me and for all those colleagues who have contributed in the past. It is a heady group to belong to. And then there is the matter of ending a sentence with a preposition!
