This book is not the sort ordinarily found on the shelves of psychoanalysts and analytic psychotherapists, but there are subsets of us who should treasure the wisdom contained in this short, commonsense primer on organizations and leadership by Anton Obholzer, former chief executive of the Tavistock Clinic. In the interest of full disclosure, I should say that I have known the author since our time together at Tavistock, long before he developed his interest in organizational consultancy; later he consulted with me about developments in the training institute I went on to co-found.
