Hannah began treatment as a young girl of ten and a half. She had large blue eyes and strawberry blonde hair which she wore in two plaits. At that time she was fairly tall and with quite a chunky build. Her face wore a habitually impassive expression. She was very intelligent and highly verbal, speaking in a low, husky voice. By the end of her treatment and the time of indexing, Hannah had grown taller, considerably thinner, and had become pubescent. Her expression was no longer that of a ‘blank wall’, instead her face conveyed a wide range of feeling.
