This is the third volume in a valuable series founded by Robert Wallerstein and published on behalf of the International Psychoanalytical Association. Each work takes a classic piece by Freud and submits it to detailed scrutiny by a number of distinguished writers, each from a different theoretical and/or clinical perspective. The book is therefore united only by its subject, and it is the diversity of opinion that for many will constitute its special appeal.
