As in past years, The Midwinter Meetings will be held in New York. This time, however, they will take place at the Hotel Pennsylvania, Seventh Avenue and 33rd Street, on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, December 17, 18 and 19. This midwinter meeting will in a way differ from past ones in that for the first time official business may be transacted. In addition, the Program Committee under Dr. Ives Hendrick has continued the policy of holding some panel group discussions as at the annual meeting in May, 1948. The panels will be restricted to members only, but Candidates of accredited Institutes, wives and professionally qualified guests may attend the other scientific sessions. Tickets for candidates, $1.00; for guests, $3.00.
Although the programs have already been mailed to the members, we would like to reproduce the program in the Bulletin in order to preserve a more permanent record and for the sake of such of our readers who may not have received the program.
Information about the location of the various meetings may be obtained from Mr. Merrill H. Whitney, Executive Assistant, or at the Registration Desk, which will be set up in the lobby of the Hotel.
(All meetings will be held in the Manhattan Room)
