In the last issue of the Bulletin, Dr. John Murray acquainted the membership with the project of publishing Freud's complete works in English. In his report to the Executive Council at Montreal, Dr. John Murray indicated that the production of these volumes can proceed if 600 subscriptions are obtained from the U. S. A. The publication will consist of 24 volumes and will cost $120. He stated that the group in the United States is authorized to set aside 3% of the money it collects to cover administrative expenditures. A great deal of progress has already been made and approximately one-fourth of the work has been translated in preliminary form. Progress has been made to facilitate the procurement of these works. Mr. Merrill H. Whitney, Executive Assistant, will be the intermediary for the Association. As far as can now be ascertained, he will represent the Association in accepting subscriptions and forwarding them to the Freud Memorial Committee in London. He will also send the completed volumes to subscribers. Until a more definite procedure is formulated for handling subscriptions, there will be a slight delay in circulating printed forms. However, Mr. Whitney will be glad to accept checks made payable to the American Psychoanalytic Association for $120 in order to enter your subscription. At present many subscriptions have already been received, and if you wish you may send your check to Mr. Whitney.
