THE REGULAR MID-WINTER MEETINGS OF THE ASSOCIATION WILL BE HELD AT THE WALDORFASTORIA IN NEW YORK ON DECEMBER 7, 8, 9 AND 10, 1950.
Thursday, December 7, 1950, will be devoted to an all day meeting of the Executive Council. The Board on Professional Standards will meet all day Friday, December 8, 1950. The Business Meeting of the members will be held on Saturday morning, December 9, 1950. Saturday afternoon and Sunday all day will be devoted to the scientific sessions which will include panel discussions as well as individual papers. The regular dinner dance will be held on Saturday evening.
Dr. Milton Sapirstein, Chairman of the Arrangements Committee, asks us to notify the membership of a new service he has been able to establish. He has arranged to obtain theatre tickets for any show (and this includes South Pacific) at no extra cost for groups wishing to form small theatre parties during their stay in New York. All communications should be addressed to Milton R. Sapirstein, M.D., 110 East 87 Street, New York 28, N. Y. at least six weeks before the meetings. Arrangements may be made for any night except Saturday, December 9, 1950, the night of the dinner-dance.
By this time the membership has already been circularized about submitting papers for the mid-winter meetings. Dr. Gitelson, Chairman of the Program Committee, urges all members who plan to present papers who have not submitted their manuscripts to please do so at once. All communications should be addressed to Dr. Maxwell Gitelson, 55 East Washington Street, Chicago 2, Illinois.
At the Detroit meeting of the Executive Council Dr. Gitelson presented his report of the Program Committee covering the period from May, 1949 through April, 1950. During this period the Committee was constituted as follows: Therese Benedek, Jule Eisenbud, Merton Gill, Maxwell Gitelson, Ralph Greenson, Ives Hendrick, Norman Reider, Richard Sterba,
