Dr. Robert Waelder, Chairman of this Committee, has by this time contacted the membership regarding plans for papers to be presented at the forthcoming Midwinter Meetings in New York. All manuscripts should be made available to the Program Committee by September 15.
In view of the fact that there may be observations or theoretical concepts which do not require long, elaborate papers, the Program Committee, in addition to making arrangements for the presentation of scientific papers, will provide for brief communications if there is sufficient interest in this form of presentation.
All suggestions, comments and criticisms are welcomed by the Program Committee and you are urged to send such to the Chairman, Dr. Robert Waelder, 2100 Walnut Street, Philadelphia 3, Pa.
Dr. Maxwell Gitelson, Chairman of the Program Committee reported to the Executive Council at the Annual meeting that there was a much smaller number of papers submitted for this meeting than for the Midwinter Meeting at New York. No doubt this is an artifact of spring fever as well as geography. There was a gratifying response from the membership to the request made by the Committee for suggestions for topics for panel discussions and the prospects for the 1951 Midwinter Meeting are good.

The chairmanship of the Committee will change at this meeting — Dr. Waelder succeeds Dr. Gitelson. All future communications regarding the program should be addressed to Dr. Waelder.
Drs. Jule Eisenbud and Norman Reider retire from the Committee, each having completed a three year term. Drs.
