The 77th Annual Meeting of the American Psychoanalytic Association was held at the Queen Elizabeth Hotel in Montreal, May 4–8, 1988. An abstract of the Business Meeting of Members, including reports of the Secretary of the Executive Council, the Treasurer of the Association, the Secretary of the Board on Professional Standards, and the Chairman of the Fund for Psychoanalytic Research is published in this issue of the Bulletin. The Business Meeting of Members was held on Friday, May 6, 1988, at 8:30 A.M. with Dr. Richard Simons, President, officiating, and Dr. Austin Silber as Secretary. Dr. Simons announced the presence of a quorum. The proceedings of the December 18, 1987 Business Meeting of Members were adopted as published in the official Minutes.
Dr. Simons introduced the members of the Executive Committee: Dr. Homer C. Curtis, President-elect; Dr. Bernard L. Pacella, Treasurer; Dr. Austin Silber, Secretary; Dr. Justin Krent, Chairman of the Board on Professional Standards; and Dr. Morris Peltz, Secretary of the Board on Professional Standards. Dr. Simons also introduced Dr. Shelley Orgel, immediate past Chairman of the Board on Professional Standards, and Dr. George H. Allison, outgoing Secretary of the Board on Professional Standards and incoming President-elect.
Dr. Austin Silber, Secretary, informed the membership of the deaths of the following members, that took place since the December 1987 Meeting:
