The Fall Meeting of the American Psychoanalytic Association was held at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel, New York City, December 13–17, 1989. An abstract of the Business Meeting of Members, including reports of the Secretary of the Executive Council, the Treasurer of the Association, the Secretary of the Board on Professional Standards, the Editor of the Journal, and the Chairman of the Fund for Psychoanalytic Research is published in this issue of the Bulletin. Members who desire to obtain copies of the Official Minutes of any of these bodies may do so by communicating with the Administrative Director, Mrs. Helen Fischer, 309 East 49th Street, New York, NY 10017.
The Business Meeting of Members was held on Friday, December 15, 1989 at 8:30 A.M. with Dr. Homer Curtis, President, officiating and Dr. Sander Abend as Secretary.
Dr. Curtis introduced the members of the Executive Committee: Dr. George H. Allison, President-elect, Dr. Bernard L. Pacella, Treasurer, Dr. Sander Abend, Secretary, Dr. Justin Krent, Chairman of the Board on Professional Standards, and Dr. Morris L. Peltz, Secretary of the Board on Professional Standards.
Dr. Curtis suggested that it might improve attendance if the Business Meeting of Members were rescheduled to take place following the Friday morning plenary session. The plenary session would henceforth begin at 9:00 A.M. on Friday and the Meeting of Members would take place at 11:00 A.M. This change in the schedule will commence at the May, 1990 Meeting of Members.
A motion was made, seconded, and carried to approve the Minutes of the May, 1989 Meeting of Members as published.
