The 80th Annual Meeting of the American Psychoanalytic Association was held at the Fairmont Hotel, New Orleans, Louisiana, May 8–12, 1991. An abstract of the Business Meeting of Members, including reports of the Secretary of the Executive Council, the Treasurer of the Association, the Secretary of the Board on Professional Standards, and the Chairman of the Fund for Psychoanalytic Research is published in this issue of the Bulletin. Members who desire to obtain copies of the Official Minutes of any of these bodies may do so by communicating with the Administrative Director, Mrs. Helen Fischer, 309 East 49th Street, New York, NY, 10017.
The Business Meeting of Members was held on Friday, May 10, 1991, at 11:00 A.M. with Dr. George Allison, President officiating and Dr. Sander Abend as Secretary.
Dr. Allison introduced the officers of the Association: Dr. Bernard Pacella, President-Elect; Dr. Donald I. Meyers, incoming Secretary of the Association, who will be assuming the duties of Secretary at the end of the May 1991 meeting; Dr. Stephen K. Firestein, Treasurer of the Association; Dr. Marvin Margolis, Chairman of the Board on Professional Standards; Dr. Owen Renik, Secretary of the Board on Professional Standards. Dr. Allison thanked Dr. Sander Abend for his services as Secretary, for his contributions as a member of the Executive Committee, and for his interest and support as Secretary.
A motion was made, seconded, and carried to approve the Minutes of the December 7, 1990, Meeting of Members as published.
