This issue of the Bulletin of the International Psycho-Analytical Association, which has been carefully put together by Dr Francis McLaughlin, Secretary of the IPA, presents in detail the proceedings and recommendations of the Executive Council and the Business Meeting held in conjunction with the 31st IPA Congress in New York in July 1979. It also contains detailed information concerning the activities of the various component societies of the IPA, information that could not be presented to the Business Meeting because of the pressure of time. Reading of the Bulletin will indicate the lively range of activities going on in all parts of the component organizations of the IPA as well as of the IPA itself.
