The 39th IPA Congress will be held in San Francisco from Sunday 30 July to Friday 4 August 1995. Registration will take place on Sunday 30 July at the Marriott Hotel, which will be the meeting venue. The proposed main theme of the Congress will be 'Psychic Reality: its Impact on the Analyst and Patient Today'.
The Chair of the Programme Committee for the Congress is Dr León Grinberg (Madrid), the Secretary is Helen Meyers M.D. (New York), the Co-Chairs are Owen Renik M.D. (San Francisco), Dr Jean-Michel Quinodoz (Geneva) and Dr Leonardo Wender (Buenos Aires). The American Psychoanalytic Association, The San Francisco Psychoanalytic Society, The Institute for Psychoanalytic Training and Research, The Los Angeles Institute and Society for Psychoanalytic Studies, The New York Freudian Society and The Psychoanalytic Center, California, are jointly hosting the meeting and their Local Organizing Committee is Co-Chaired by Joseph Lifschutz, M.D., and Reed Brockbank, M.D.
