A FEPAL meeting in Amsterdam during the Congress in July 1993 paid a special tribute to the late Prof Angel Garma. During this year we also organised the First Latin American Child and Adolescent Congress, in Córdoba, Argentina, and the Trans-Andean Conference in Mendoza, Argentina. FEPAL is co-sponsoring the Second Clinical Meeting of the American Psychoanalytic Association, including members of the Canadian Psychoanalytic Society, to be held in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, in 1994. The Third International Symposium on 'Myths' will also take place in 1994, in Brazil.
Other events projected for the near future, in addition to the FEPAL symposium, are the Pre-Congress and Twentieth Latin American Congress of Psychoanalysis, and the first Latin American Clinical Meeting, to take place in Peru in 1994; the second meeting between European and Latin American psychoanalysts, a first International Congress on 'Applied and Interdisciplinary Psychoanalysis'; an International Congress on 'Psychoanalysis and Education', and a Congress on 'Latin American Psychoanalytic Bibliography'.
