As our statutes stipulate, the organ of the IPA is the Bulletin, edited by the IPA's Secretary, and published periodically for all the membership. The Bulletin provides information on the international Congresses, the Business Meetings held regularly every two years, the meetings of the Executive Council and the activities of societies and study groups. Another traditional means of communication has been the Newsletter, which generally appeared irregularly in a rather unattractive format.
During the presidency of Joseph Sandler, the old Newsletter became International Psychoanalysis, published biannually in the four official languages of the IPA. Thanks to the leadership of Ethel S.
