This book posed a riddle to me when I first looked at it - what on earth did the title mean? The illustration on the front cover (paper darts and birds crossing each others' paths) gave no further clues.
The Acknowledgements revealed that the papers arose from weekly support and supervision groups held by the staff members of the Women's Therapy Centre (WTC). This origin explains the haphazard content of the chapters, which include the topics: administration, theoretical aspects of ‘feminist psychotherapy’, envy, abortion, racism, and a review of three books.
