Genitality is reviewed as genital love, an organization of mind independent of sex and gender. Homosexuality is considered as including in its varieties the possibility of having a genital organization. This is held to be a maturity and regard for others endowing an individual with the capacity to train and practise as a psychotherapist. Homosexuality is examined as a defence protecting loving feelings from oedipal and earlier vicissitudes. Attitudes to homosexuality are attributed to prejudice, the projection of unacceptable homosexual phenomena. More generally prejudice is suggested to be an attack on the faculty of thinking in psychoanalysis.
