Cathy had many talents and we have come to realize that we only knew aspects of her abilities that she generously shared with us. Cathy read and reviewed with us our proposal for a Child Clinical Doctorate with Birkbeck, University of London. It was a rewarding experience. After this informal exchange, she became a formal external assessor of the programme, during its validation by Birkbeck. It was encouraging to have her formal view then, as we knew she brought wisdom and sound experience to the assessment. With the Clinical Doctorate well in place, Cathy became the external examiner for the programme. She was so clinically sensitive and academically astute that we trusted her with our training and our students. Cathy made herself available for the profession of child psychotherapy and was open to different theoretical schools and always thoughtful. We miss her.
