IKONS - ANCIENT AND MODERN: LOOKING TOWARDS THE UNKNOWN

Having read Anthropology and Theology worked as a probation officer and then as a family caseworker in the East End of London. He subsequently trained with the British Association of Psychotherapists and later with the Institute of Psychoanalysis. He is probably best known for his first book, On Learning from the Patient (1985), which has since been translated into 21 languages, including Chinese. He retired from clinical work in 2005 and has continued to write. His latest book Learning Along the Way: Further Reflections on Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy is to be published in autumn 2018.
