Gender Under Scrutiny – whose Gender?

Senior Lecturer in Sociology at the University of the West of England, Bristol, UK, a regular media commentator and writer on feminism and LGBTQ rights and the author of two books: ‘Radical Feminism: Activism in Movement’ (Palgrave) and ‘Female Masculinities and the Gender Wars’ (Bloomsbury). With a background in youth work, education and the women's sector, Finn established domestic violence prevention education and anti-bullying programmes for a London Local Education Authority before pursuing a PhD in the Centre for Gender and Violence Research at the University of Bristol. In 2004 Finn founded the London Feminist Network and London Reclaim the Night and has a long history in feminist activism.
