Kenneth Zucker and Susan Bradley have written an excellent book that is clear and easy to read, despite its complicated content. It combines an extensive review of the existing clinical and research literature, including psychoanalytic, along with a discussion of the authors' substantial clinical experience in this area. This book is the rare combination of integration of research knowledge with front-line clinical practice. They have also managed to present the political controversies in an even-handed, diplomatic manner, yet do not hesitate to express their views on treatment in a forthright way.
