Unconventional analyst, free-thinker, Luis Hornstein does not hesitate to challenge psychoanalytic institutions in what is more alienating and more lethal. Psychoanalytic thought itself does not escape from his questioning. He is a great reader of French psychoanalytical thought, which he comments upon and integrates into his clinical practice. His work develops along two axes: the first one is epistemological and the second one theoretical and clinical. His main focus is on the study of narcissistic and borderline disorders. He worked out clinical models with their respective meta-psychologies.
