Member of the Canadian Psychoanalytic Society for forty-five years, Brian passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, leaving to mourn his four children and five adoring grandchildren. Born in Wallasy, England, Brian graduated from Oxford University in 1947. Retiring from the Air Force early on in his career, Brian then set up his practice at the Montreal Children's Hospital, employed as a psychiatrist and psychoanalyst. An accomplished carpenter, Brian enjoyed spending free moments at his family cottage in the Laurentians, toiling away in his wood shop, cheerfully building the furniture that adorned his home.
