EDWARD S. TAUBER, M.D. DIED IN 1988. He was 79 years old. One of the earliest members of the William Alanson White Institute, he served admirably as training analyst, supervising analyst, faculty member, Fellow, and associate director. He was the all embracing psychoanalyst: scientist, theoretician, and clinician, and made a tremendously positive impact on all with whom he came in contact—consistently imparting the value of an unceasing search for knowledge. In 1985 he received the Institute's Distinguished Service Award in recognition of his extraordinary contributions to the Institute, to the Council of Fellows and to the professional community. He was a loyal, staunch, imaginative supporter of This Journal, to which he faithfully contributed his wit and wisdom. The following tributes and papers are in his memory and honor.— Ed.
