Before There Was Philip, There Was Phil

Fellow, Training and Supervising Analyst at The William Alanson White Institute where she most recently chaired the committee on Appointments and Promotions. She is on the Editorial Board of Contemporary Psychoanalysis and has published articles on such topics as masochism, pregnancy, and parenting. She currently serves on the Advisory and Consultation Committee of the American Psychoanalytic Association. Dr. Imber is in private practice in New York City. At the 75th Anniversary Conference of the WAWI, she had the pleasure of introducing the day’s opening dialogue between Philip Bromberg and Jay Greenberg.
