Just a note to tell you I love you. It seems silly to have to write you a special note to say that but it is so frustrating not to say it and anyway why the hell should one be bothered about its being silly or not. So: I love you. I love you.
Sweetheart, don't overdo the work to-night. Someone or other said, when you have too much work to do, don't do it. We both have too much just now. I shall go to bed early tonight and I shall go to sleep. Please try to do the same for my sake.
