I am glad you were able to get the Ulysses on the Liffey.1 I want to bring your Chinese Script2 for the vacation. It is very good and I found it evocative even though, or because?, not always clear.
I don't know what the programme at the Hollywood Bowl is tonight. Last Saturday was Gilbert and Sullivan. Good I gather, but it must have been very depressing as there were only about 8000 there – which in the Bowl must have felt like performing in the presence of the cleaners! Rather like what I feel I am performing here …
