Taming Wild Thoughts is a short book of just 56 pages, consisting of Bion's 1963 paper ‘The Grid’ and two untitled papers. The two transcriptions from May 1977 have been extracted from the original 1997 booklet and are published here to be together with the papers from the 1970s. Accordingly the parts of the original Foreword by Parthenope Bion Talamo have been divided between this volume and Volume V, in which the 1963 paper ‘The Grid’ now appears.
