Music as a form of art has a special place for many individuals and it is used in clinical and non-clinical settings for its therapeutic values. Research shows music helps with anxiety and depression (deWitt et al., 2020; Földes, et al., 2017; Galal et al., 2021; Guo & You, 2020; Hakimi et al., 2021; ; Kraft et al., 2021; Zhang & Qin, 2020;) and increases the individuals’ level of mindfulness (Groarke et al., 2020). This is mainly due to the fact that the musically created atmosphere is conducive to emotional insight (McCaffrey, 2008) and an increase in the individual's self-confidence, and sense of purpose (Kyriacou, 2017), even when music is used as a hobby (Koehler & Neubauer, 2020). Music is a symbolization vehicle and while music is unique in that it is an objectless form of art it is the musical instrument that has an intermediary role between the musician and music (Mohajer & Zolnikov, 2023a). A chasm yawns open between the musician and the environment during the seconds of improvisation, between the musician's inner world and the outer world, between the objectless world within and the objectless form of art readily available to the auditory sense in the environment (Mohajer & Zolnikov, 2023a). Music improvisation, as inherent in the concept, comes from the authentic inner world of the individual. This is unlike the alienation process whereby the individual is alienated from one's needs and
