This past year has been a year of transitions for the South Bay Education Committee. There have been changes on the committee as well as in our course and curriculum offerings. The coming year should prove to be an exciting one for the South Bay as we strengthen our committee and increase our course offerings.
Starting in January of 2001, Lynn Alexander, Psy.D., stepped off the committee after many years of service. Thanks go to Lynn for her hours of hard work and creativity in developing several courses for the South Bay Education Committee. More recently, this past July, Dana Wideman, Ph.D., resigned as committee Chair, and Kali Hess, MFT has taken on this job. Dana has been at the helm of the South Bay Education Committee for many years. She has ably and creatively overseen the work of this committee and has been instrumental in much of the vision of our program offerings. She has been responsible for the three-year couples training program in collaboration with the Tavistock Marital Studies Institute from London, England. Thanks, Dana, for your vision and your many hours of work in sustaining this committee.

Lynn Alexander, Psy.D., Diane Strongwater, MFT, and Miriam Bar, Ph.D., did a great job in establishing and working on this outreach program.
The Intensive Study Group (ISG), entitled “Modern Kleinian Theory and Technique,” continued study of the Kleinian Development for a second year, with many of the participants from the prior year's ISG electing to continue. Our faculty included Charles Spezzano, Ph.D.; Lynn Alexander,
