The Membership Committee has three tasks: to recruit and do outreach to new members, to publish the NCSPP directory, and to promote diversity within the organization.
First, in our outreach to new members, we try to make a personal phone call and send out a welcoming packet. Our aim is to assess their needs, integrate them into the organization, and orient them to our many programs. Second, to insure that the membership directory is published in a timely fashion, after a review of the administrative workload at NCSPP, we have decided the directory will now be published yearly during the month of August. Third, to the end of promoting diversity in the organization, we are looking for ways to do this effectively. The Board will be having a special work meeting to explore this issue. Your ideas are welcome.
Our committee members are Gene Alexander, MFT; Roseanne Donner, Ph.D.; Jessica Herbold, Ph.D.; Marion Joycechild, Ph.D.; Gale Lipsyte, Ph.D.; Johanna Mayer, Ph.D.; Fred Rosendahl, Ph.D.; and Renata Trittlevitz, M.D. We try to represent diversity on the committee; if you are interested in joining, please call me. We meet just two times a year and do the rest of our work through email.
