The Community Events Committee continues to energetically take on the task of building community. It is our sincere hope to bring you events that are welcoming, enjoyable, and even inspiring.
Over the last year we offered a number of opportunities for networking and socializing, including a few gatherings at Samovar's Tea Lounge in Yerba Buena Gardens. We also hosted a Volunteer Appreciation Event to express thanks to the dedicated board and committee members for their tireless efforts. We then finished out the year with the Annual Holiday Party and celebration for all members.
We are currently in discussion about how to offer new opportunities for networking and socializing in the coming year, and look forward to what may come. Our first event for this fall will be at the De Young Museum, where you will have the opportunity to reflect and respond to current art exhibits and events. We will informally invite your inquiry into how this may connect to clinical work.
Thanks to Tom Wooldridge for chairing the committee over the last year, and to an endlessly motivated, committed, and inspiring group of committee members including David Brown, Gregory Desierto, Ken Gladstone, Caroline Mok, Nicole Redzic, Grace Yan, and Joe Zamaria. As the new committee chair, I look forward to new possibilities and collaboration with NCSPP and the greater community. We hope to see you soon and are grateful to all who have joined us for events in the past.
