NCSPP would like to thank Carrie Evenden, who stepped down as Chair of the Membership Committee after years of service. In January 2015, I took the helm to further the work Carrie initiated, along with Jordan Hazzard, Garrett Howard, and Nicole Hsiang. As a group, we continue to think about how to better serve the needs of our current members while simultaneously reaching out to new disciplines and diverse audiences.
A significant goal of the committee this year is to solicit ideas from the membership on how to best serve their professional interests. To this end, we developed a forthcoming survey to offer the leadership clearer ideas on what our members most enjoy about NCSPP and how to provide relevant programming to heighten our sense of community. This sense of community was evident as we sponsored an informational table at the Spring Meeting of Division 39 at the Palace Hotel. NCSPP had a strong presence there and we were overwhelmed by the support we received from our community. Thanks again to all those who gave their time to NCSPP.
